A tweet from Platinum Games showed off the Naive Angel Mode, which adds more clothing in moments where Bayonetta looks her most risque.
RDgM4X14O2Īs exciting as that is, there’s more to look forward to. The end of the trailer reveals that the game is still coming out this year and more specifically will be released on October 28th.Ī special edition of #Bayonetta3 dances onto #NintendoSwitch on 10/28!īayonetta 3 Trinity Masquerade Edition comes complete with a 200-page art book and 3 game cases, 1 for each Bayonetta title, that combine to form panoramic artwork. There’s talk of different worlds, an “alphaverse”, and it even appears that there are different Bayonettas as further hinted in a Nintendo news article. If you’ve played the first two games then the idea of a multiverse doesn’t seem too out of place, although this time around it might just be a much bigger plot point. It seems like we may also be getting a multiverse story with this entry. She will also be playable and features her own distinct playstyle to help take on the man-made Homunculi enemies that were similarly shown off in the last trailer. We also learn that the katana-wielding character from the end of the previous trailer is named Viola and can summon a Cheshire cat-like monster. The gameplay looks as fun and over-the-top as previous games have and features a lot of the Demon Masquerade ability that allows Bayonetta to channel whichever demon is linked to the weapon she’s using.
#WHO WAS AT THE END OF BAYONETTA 3 TRAILER SERIES#
If you're a fan of Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2, it looks like the third entry in the series will deliver more of the same stylistic, and brutally violent action, which is ultimately a good thing. There’s a lot to take from the trailer, but still not enough shown to know just exactly what is going on. There's even a brand new playable character called Viola, who is described as “a feisty witch in training who fights with a sword and a capricious companion, the demon Cheshire.” We also saw Bayonetta briefly transform into some sort of spectacular butterfly to deliver a devastating combo, and perform multiple perfectly-timed dodges to activate Witch Time, which lets you deliver significant damage to enemies as time momentarily slows down. Speaking of demons, Bayonetta will now be able to summon and control gigantic creatures during battles using her new Demon Masquerade ability which "channels the demon linked to her weapon allowing for some exciting action options, not to mention some hair-raising combos." It means the game will play host to some larger-than-life battles and should mix up the formula quite a bit. The short bob that she rocked in Bayonetta 2 is now gone, replaced with beautiful long braids, which can, of course, transform into demonic creatures. Magic items and unique weapons shake things up, as does the ability to use Torture Attacks to punish foes for extra rewards.Īs has become customary, the sadistically seductive witch has a brand-new look in Bayonetta 3. Like the past Bayonetta games, this will be an action-filled hack-and-slash game where you play as Bayonetta herself, utilizing her stylish gunplay to take down hordes of angels and demons.
